What Would YOU Do?
My second husband takes Stephen Hawking to task for his comments about time travel. Consider this my Cinco de Mayo gift to you. Enjoy with a nice glass of sangria. Then leave me a comment on this topic: What would you do if you could time travel?

I would love to say that I would do something uber-honorable, but I would pick some stocks and make some crazy cash.
Messing with 'big' history might not turn out as well as hoped.

Yeah, Steven Hawking is an A-hole. I'd definitely go back in time and save great historical figures like Mr. Darcy from ending up with Elizabeth so he could end up with me instead.
I don't think anything super noble that I could do would change the history of the world and stop all the wars and violence that has occured over the centuries.
I would go back in time and correct all of the mistakes and bad decisions I have made ... I think ... though I am fairly happy with who I am as a person and I guess some of those mistakes have made me who I am today but there is always room for improvement and a lot more personal happiness and I don't mean this in a selfish way.
The only problem being if we choose to change our past that then impacts on many others as well and I would not like to do that ... so that might well be another mistake so I guess I can't go back, I have to be content and move forward ... does this make any sense?
Though I might be able to get Hugh Laurie for you and I could have Alan Rickman. :) xoxoxo ♡
I would turn the clock back 10 minutes and NOT eat all those sticks of licorice.
If I could time travel I would (a) stop myself from eventually getting fat and (b) invest in Apple when normal humans could afford to and (c) lose my virginity to someone way cooler than the dufus who I actually did the deed with. I am pretty sure that none of this would alter history, unless I stepped on a butterfly who was flapping his wings...
I'm with Shana, on all points! But I think I might try a different career, maybe something I am now interested in that I wasn't at the time, like politics or neurosurgery. I'd definitely start investing heavily in a 401k at eighteen and saving for my own and my kids' college educations!
...Or, hey, I could go back and invent the intertubes! :) What a fun prompt, my Dear!
thanks for that find - funny way to think about it.
Stephen Hawking is a great mind but it is funny to look at some of his writing like this.
If I traveled back in time I could have commented on this post earlier.
I just finished reading the Time Traveler's Wife, which made me feel like I would NEVER want to time travel. Have you read that book? It made me sooo sad. To be sure, it was an interesting concept, but I kept getting sadder near the end. If you've read it, I'd love to know what you thought of it! :)
P.S. If I did time travel, I would go back in time and eat healthier so I never gained weight! *smiles*
P.S.S. I LOVE Stephen Colbert...he's so hilarious. :)
Miss H - I haven't read the book, but I should. One of these days!
I'd turn back time and bring my love back to life, so he can see the birth of our baby.
