Monday's Movie Music

Am I the only one who thinks Zach Braff resembles a young John Ritter?*

I discovered a clip of one of my favorite singers, Imogen Heap, singing Let Go coupled with scenes of Braff's film Garden State.

I have to rent this film. Have any of you seen it? Looks really intriguing. Plus, Natalie Portman is in it. I love Natalie Portman. Sure, she's smart and beautiful, but her face is so incredibly expressive. She positively inspires me to poetry!

You can light up a square mile

if you make Miss Portman smile;

Skies will turn stygian, by golly,

when Natalie looks melancholy.

Tomorrow, I'll share a different music video clip from one of her other films. Five points if you can predict which one.

*Apparently other people did see the resemblance between Braff and Ritter. I just read that Ritter played his character's father on Scrubs. Excuse me, I have to go sweep out the cave in which I've been living.

I love that song. (Let go).
First heard it on "So you think you can dance".... I admit, I'm an addict for that show.

Got in on my iPod even. :D

Oh, also have "hide and seek' by Imogen Heap on my iPod too!

Garden State is a great movie with an even better soundtrack. I've been listening to it for years to go to sleep. I definitely see the resemblance between John Ritter and Zac Braff.

Did you see the prequel to the Dajarling Limited with her? Loved it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YI8EOZk3W_8
She was also fantastic in her short in Paris J'taime. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BsiZDB3Wvbg

I loved Garden State. I went in having no idea what it was about, and like you I love Portman. She did not disappoint. Such an endearing, intriquing story.

Oh and I bought the soundtrack, too. I rarely to never buy a movie soundtrack. There were so many riveting songs that I just HAD to hear again and again.

HEY! I must be a fellow cave-dweller, because I didn't think anyone else even KNEW about Imogen Heap!

She reminds me a lot of Everything but the Girl before they went hyper-techno...

You're so right! This is a great tune. I have this soundtrack and I love the movie. In fact, a couple of my favorite songs of late are on that soundtrack.
